Summer Solstice Drumming Circle – 22nd June
Sarasvati Drumming Circle with Vicki Tofts
Wednesday 22nd June | 7.30 – 9.00 pm
Join us for an evening of drumming.
This drumming session comes with a bit of a twist! We are hoping to practice outside, under the stars, and by the fire in celebration and recognition of the summer solstice (weather permitting).
Please book in advance so we know how many people to make space for, and feel free to bring along any herbs or incenses for the fire, and perhaps a marshmallow or two!
All welcome. Any level. Newcomers too. As the summer beckons, it is the ideal time to start drumming!
Drumming is a fantastic way to communicate and share experiences with others. It has been proven to be beneficial for physical illnesses and mental ill-health.
As well as bringing joy, drumming reduces stress, releases negative feelings, improves gross and fine motor skills, and creates a sense of connectedness.
If you have your own drums, please bring them with you. Vicki will have some extra instruments with her, so don’t worry if you don’t have any of your own.
Vicki is a professionally trained musician and sound therapist with over 20 years’ experience. As the owner of Sarasvati Music School, she runs music groups and teaches 1-2-1 to children with additional needs, and drumming circles for all ages to support mental wellbeing. She is also a meditation teacher and yoga enthusiast!
You can pay in advance, or alternatively by cash at the door. However, please advise Vicki in advance that you are attending.
Time: 7:30pm – 9pm
