Scar Therapy Training
The RESTORE Scar Therapy Practitioner Certification course is a blended course providing first class education and hands-on skills. Learn techniques and treatment approaches to improve functional results after a surgery or injury creates scar tissue, fibrosis or adhesions. This general scar therapy training is ideal for for professional therapists including sports and clinical massage therapists, physiotherapists or any other bodywork practitioner.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
Describe the benefits of scar treatment
Assess a scar and any underlying adhesions
Deliver specialist scar massage techniques for scar tissue, fibrosis and underlying adhesions (including inter-oral techniques for facial surgery or injury)
Offer a holistic scar therapy treatment to a client after keyhole or open surgeries or a client with scars from trauma
Help a client practise self-scar care to promote their scar healing and reduce common symptoms associated with scars
Influence adhesions and fascial changes which occur as a result of tensional changes from scars with scar massage, fascial techniques, negative pressure or kinesiotape
